Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- ABET Level 4, Grade 9, Standard 7 or equivalent NQF Level 1 qualification recognised by SAQA.
- South African citizenship.
- Ability to communicate in English and at least one other official language.
- Basic literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
- Ability to read and write.
- Understanding of cleaning detergents and their safe handling.
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety procedures.
- Ability to operate basic cleaning machines and equipment.
- Professional interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work extended hours when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene inside and around SAPS premises.
- Dust and polish furniture and floors.
- Vacuum carpets and mop tiled floors.
- Empty bins and remove refuse.
- Clean bathrooms, kitchens and other assigned areas.
- Perform basic maintenance and garden maintenance duties.
- Safely handle and store cleaning equipment.
- Load and unload goods when required.
- Wash and clean state vehicles, kitchenware and utensils.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
