Job Description
Econo Foods is looking for hardworking and reliable General Assistants to join its Butchery Department in Cape Town for the festive season.
Successful candidates will assist with the daily operations of the meat processing facility, including receiving stock, off-loading, pre-packing, merchandising, cleaning and maintaining good housekeeping standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Proven experience in a butchery environment.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Good organisational skills.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Self-motivated, reliable and performance-driven.
- Ability to take initiative.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and off-load stock.
- Assist with pre-packing activities.
- Merchandise products.
- Maintain cleanliness in the butchery and work areas.
- Assist with stock counting and reporting.
- Support daily meat-processing operations.
- Maintain good housekeeping and safety standards.
- Work together with team members to ensure smooth operations.
