MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must:
- Have ABET Level 4, Grade 9, Standard 7 or NQF Level 1.
- Be South African citizens and provide documentary proof when required.
- Be proficient in English and at least one other official language.
- Have basic literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
- Understand the safe handling of cleaning detergents.
- Understand occupational health and safety procedures.
- Be able to operate basic cleaning machines and equipment.
- Be willing to work extended hours when necessary.
- Interact professionally with other officials.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Clean SAPS premises and maintain high hygiene standards.
- Dust and polish furniture and floors.
- Vacuum carpets and mop tiled floors.
- Remove refuse and keep work areas clean.
- Clean bathrooms and kitchens.
- Maintain the grounds around assigned premises.
- Safely handle and store cleaning equipment.
- Load and unload goods.
- Wash and clean state vehicles, kitchenware and utensils.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks around the premises.
