MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- At least 6 months of cashier or till operations experience.
- Computer literacy, including MS Office.
- Good numerical skills.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Basic customer service skills.
- Willingness to work retail hours.
- Reliable transport or residence close to the store.
- South African citizenship.
- Clear credit and criminal records.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process customer purchases and payments accurately.
- Operate the cash register and manage cash safely.
- Provide professional customer service.
- Process cash, card, voucher and other accepted payments.
- Handle authorised refunds and merchandise exchanges.
- Process customer loyalty cards.
- Ensure price changes and voids are approved.
- Keep cash secure and follow cash-handling procedures.
- Report customer complaints and suspicious activity.
- Follow Dis-Chem’s security and customer service policies.
