MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must have:
- NQF Level 1 qualification, ABET Level 4 certificate or equivalent.
- Ability to read and write.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Good communication skills will be an added advantage.
No previous work experience is required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Successful candidates will assist with:
- Road construction and maintenance.
- Pothole repairs, crack sealing and road resurfacing.
- Repairing and maintaining drainage systems, culverts and ditches.
- Cleaning road reserves, pavements and drainage structures.
- Installing, repairing and cleaning road signs and road markings.
- Maintaining road fencing, guardrails and other road infrastructure.
- Operating and safeguarding tools and equipment.
- Keeping work sites clean and safe.
- Following occupational health and safety procedures.
- Assisting with traffic accommodation and other road maintenance duties.
Important: Work may take place at different sites throughout Gauteng. Employees may be required to travel and sleep near construction sites.
