Job Purpose
Sasol is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Driver to transport people, packages and/or products safely and ensure timely deliveries.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Valid EC1 (Code 14) driver’s licence.
- At least 2 years’ experience operating EC1 or higher-category vehicles.
- Dangerous goods licence will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport people, packages and products safely and on time.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report defects.
- Ensure the vehicle remains roadworthy and complies with safety requirements.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance, including checking oil levels, tyre pressure and fuel.
- Use vehicle safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly.
- Plan routes efficiently, including journeys with multiple delivery points.
- Follow company procedures, site rules and applicable legal requirements.
- Attend safety meetings, toolbox talks and required training.
- Report delays, unsafe conditions, defects and deviations from schedules.
- Provide regular feedback to supervisors on work progress.
- Work effectively with colleagues, management and customers.
- Support team activities and help meet operational deadlines.
