MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must:
- Be in possession of ABET Level 4, Grade 9, Standard 7 or NQF Level 1.
- Be South African citizens and provide proof when required.
- Be proficient in English and at least one other official language.
- Have basic literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
- Understand the safe handling of cleaning detergents.
- Understand occupational health and safety procedures.
- Be able to operate basic cleaning machines and equipment.
- Be willing to work extended hours when necessary.
- Interact professionally with other officials.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Cleaning SAPS premises and maintaining high hygiene standards.
- Dusting and polishing furniture and floors.
- Vacuuming carpets and mopping tiled floors.
- Removing refuse and keeping work areas tidy.
- Cleaning bathrooms and kitchens.
- Maintaining the grounds around assigned premises.
- Safely handling and storing cleaning equipment.
- Loading and unloading goods.
- Washing and cleaning state vehicles.
- Cleaning kitchenware and utensils.
- Performing routine maintenance tasks around the premises.
