Departmental Mission
To manage and execute technology audits across IT General Controls (ITGC), ICT projects, cybersecurity, networks, infrastructure, operational technology (OT) and related technology areas.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Internal Auditing or an equivalent qualification at NQF Level 7.
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification.
- Relevant professional affiliation or membership with a recognised body such as ISACA, IIA or SAICA, as applicable.
Key Performance Areas
- Manage the planning, execution and quality assurance of IT audit engagements.
- Conduct and oversee audits covering ITGC, cybersecurity, ICT projects, infrastructure, networks and ICT governance.
- Ensure audits comply with IIA and ISACA professional standards.
- Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of the GIA Technology Assurance roadmap.
- Identify emerging technology risks and recommend updates to the approved audit plan.
- Prepare and present evidence-based audit reports outlining findings, risks, root causes and recommendations.
- Monitor audit progress against approved plans.
- Prepare accurate weekly and monthly progress reports, highlighting delays, emerging risks and corrective actions.
- Manage human, financial and physical resources in line with organisational policies and procedures.
