JOB PURPOSE
To perform professional driving duties safely, accurately, and on time while delivering goods to SPAR stores and protecting company vehicles and assets.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Similar work experience.
- Intermediate English reading, speaking, and writing skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Customer service training is an advantage.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and company policies.
- Ability to operate heavy-duty vehicle equipment and secure loads safely.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate company vehicles safely and protect company assets during deliveries.
- Check delivery documents before, during, and after each delivery.
- Verify goods with receiving staff and assist with offloading when required.
- Deliver goods to SPAR stores accurately and according to planned schedules.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report defects.
- Operate tail lifts, refrigeration equipment, tautliner curtains, and shoring bars.
- Perform coupling and uncoupling procedures and monitor loading and offloading.
- Check damaged goods, returns, assets, and recyclable items collected from stores.
- Secure loads in the trailer to prevent damage during transportation.
- Ensure all delivery documents are completed, stamped, and signed.
- Return toll cards and refuel the truck after every delivery.
- Meet driver performance and housekeeping standards.
- Comply with all safety policies, procedures, and practices.
