Requirements: A Minimum of Grade 10 (authentic School report) or Relevant NQF level 2 or ABET Level 4. Able to read and write. Working experience in the public service environment or experience as a porter will be an added advantage. Good interpersonal relations, Ability to work in a team. Knowledge of Batho Pele Principles; Patients’ Rights and 6 ministerial priorities. Be Prepared to work flexible hours, and shifts (nights, weekends, and public holidays). Be Able to deliver service under pressure.
Duties: Accompanying walking patients and patients on wheelchairs and stretchers to various service points. Assisting in loading and offloading patients from ambulances and private cars. Cleaning of wheelchairs and stretchers. Collection of wheelchairs and stretchers from all hospital treatment points to porter’s bay. Transport corpse from the wards to the mortuary. Assist with messenger service (Delivery of blood samples and files). Expected to carry out any other duty as instructed by the supervisor.
